Spin the Wheel

This page is for marketers setting up a Spin the Wheel campaign. Players press Spin, the wheel turns, and it lands on one segment. Each segment has a label, such as “Free coffee” or “Try again”, and you decide which segments count as a win and how likely each one is.

Set these on the campaign’s Config tab.

Setting What it does Allowed values
Segments The wedges on the wheel. 2 to 24
Label The text on a segment. 1 to 80 characters
Weight How likely the wheel is to land on this segment, relative to the others. The editor shows each weight as a percentage. Above 0, up to 1,000,000
Colour The segment’s fill colour. A six-digit hex colour, such as #3b8ad9. Leave empty for a built-in colour.
Counts as a win Marks the segment as a prize. On or off
Spin duration How long the wheel turns, in milliseconds. 500 to 15,000. Default 4,000.

The What players will face panel shows the number of segments and the overall chance of a win, so you can check your weights before you save.

The wheel has no image or sound slots. It is drawn from your segment labels and colours, together with the campaign’s branding.

Change these on the Copy & Translations tab.

The wheel gives each player an instant result. If you also run a prize draw among everyone who played, use a random method. A new Spin the Wheel campaign starts on Random, weighted by entry, which gives every play the same chance, just as Random, equal odds does. Highest score does not apply, because spins have no score.
