Prizes and winners
This page is for marketers and campaign managers. It covers the Prize & Winner Selection tab, where you describe the prize and decide how winners are chosen, and running a draw from the Results & Telemetry tab.
Winners and rewards are different things. A draw picks winners after people have played. A reward hands a coupon to a player the moment their game ends. You can use both on one campaign.
Open the campaign and choose 5. Prize & Winner Selection.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Label | The prize’s name, for example “Free coffee”. |
| Description | More detail about the prize. |
| Fulfilment reference | Your own voucher id or product code, so your team knows what to send. Never shown to players. |
The prize details are included when a draw’s winners are sent to your webhooks.
Winner selection
Section titled “Winner selection”Trigger: when winners are picked
Section titled “Trigger: when winners are picked”| Option | When a draw runs |
|---|---|
| Manual | Only when somebody runs it from the Results tab. |
| Automatic, as each session ends | After every play. |
| Automatic, at a scheduled time | Once, at the time you set in Draw at. |
In the list, each option is shown with a short explanation after its name, for example “drawn on demand”. A scheduled draw needs a date and time in Draw at.
Algorithm: how winners are picked
Section titled “Algorithm: how winners are picked”| Option | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Random, equal odds | Every eligible entry has the same chance. |
| Random, weighted by entry | A random pick where each entry’s chance follows its weight. Every entry currently has the same weight. |
| Highest score | The best scores win. |
Winners and tie-break
Section titled “Winners and tie-break”- Winners: how many people one draw picks. Leave blank for one.
- Tie-break: what happens when two entries have the same score under Highest score. Choose Earliest entry wins or Random among tied entries.
Every draw is recorded and can be verified.
Play limits
Section titled “Play limits”Turn on Limit plays per participant to cap how often one person can play this campaign.
- Total plays: plays per person over the whole campaign.
- Plays per day: plays per person per day.
- Day boundary: the time zone that decides when a person’s “today” restarts, for the per-day limit.
Leave a number blank for unlimited. A channel can have its own limits too, and whichever runs out first stops the player. See Channel play limits.
Choose Save settings to save the prize, winner selection and play limits.
The Channel and live window section further down is saved on its own. See Schedule the live window.
Run a draw by hand
Section titled “Run a draw by hand”When the trigger is Manual, you run draws yourself.
- Open the campaign and choose 7. Results & Telemetry.
- In the Latest draw card, choose Trigger a draw.
- In Trigger a draw?, choose Draw.
The draw picks winners from everyone eligible at that moment. It cannot be undone. The winners appear in Latest draw, and the draw is added to the Draws list.
The button is greyed out until at least one entry is eligible. For an automatic trigger, the card says when this campaign draws instead of showing the button.
Running a draw needs the Run a winner draw permission. See Roles.
Prediction campaigns: mark the correct answer first
Section titled “Prediction campaigns: mark the correct answer first”In a prediction campaign, players pick what they think will happen. Winners can only come from people who picked the right answer, so you tell Keliplay what actually happened before you draw.
- Open 7. Results & Telemetry. The Mark the correct answer card lists each option and how many people backed it.
- Choose Mark correct on the option that happened.
The draw then picks only from eligible entries that predicted it, and the card says how many there are. Until you mark an answer, the draw stays locked.
You can change the answer until a draw has used it. After that it can no longer be changed.
Marking the answer needs the Declare a prediction’s real outcome permission.
