Campaigns

This page is for marketers and campaign managers. A campaign is one game with your settings: its rules, look, wording and prize. Every campaign belongs to a channel.

  1. Open Channels, then the channel the campaign will run on.
  2. On the Campaigns tab, choose New campaign.
  3. On Create a campaign, pick a game. Filter the catalogue with All games, Luck, Quiz, Skill or Prediction.
  4. Enter a Campaign name, such as “Summer giveaway”. Players never see it.
  5. Choose Create campaign.

The campaign opens on its Overview tab as a Draft. Players cannot see it until you activate it.

The catalogue only shows games your plan includes. If none are included, ask whoever manages your account. See Plans.

Every campaign has the same tabs, in the order you usually set things up:

Tab What you do there
Overview Activate the campaign, see where and when it runs, archive or delete it.
1. Config Set up the game itself. See Configure the game.
2. Branding Colours, logo, background and font. See Branding and copy.
3. Copy & Translations Change the words players see. See Branding and copy.
4. Pre-game The page players see before they press Play. See Pre-game page.
5. Prize & Winner Selection The prize, how winners are chosen, play limits and the live window. See Prizes and winners.
6. Reward Coupons handed out at the end of a game. See Rewards.
7. Results & Telemetry Entries, draws and rewards given out. See Results.

The campaign’s status (draft, active, paused or archived) shows next to its name at the top of every tab.

Test play sits at the top of every campaign page. It opens the campaign in a new tab so you can play it once, in any status, drafts included.

Test plays do not count towards play limits, draws, rewards or results.

If nothing opens, your browser blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for the dashboard and try again.

  1. Open the campaign’s Overview tab. While it is not live, the Activation card says Not live yet.
  2. Choose Activate.
  3. In Activate this campaign?, choose Activate.

Activating checks the game setup and makes the campaign playable. If something in the setup is wrong, the dashboard says what to fix. The card then reads This campaign is live.

Your plan limits how many campaigns can be live at once across all channels.

A campaign can have a start time, an end time, or both. Set them on the Prize & Winner Selection tab, in Channel and live window:

  • Live from: when the campaign starts on its channel.
  • Live until: when it stops.

Leave either empty for open-ended. Choose Save channel and window. This is saved separately from the rest of the tab.

An active campaign is only shown during its window. Two campaigns on one channel cannot overlap, so to queue the next campaign, start its window exactly where the current one ends. The Overview tab shows the result under Where and when: the Channel, the Live window, and which campaign it Hands over to.

The channel a campaign runs on is chosen when you create it. A campaign that has been played cannot move to another channel.

Hand over from a campaign that has no end date

Section titled “Hand over from a campaign that has no end date”

If another campaign is live on the same channel with no end date, activating asks when to switch. Pick a time in Hand over at. The live campaign ends at that moment and this one starts at the same instant.

The dashboard has no pause button. A campaign can be paused through the API, and then shows paused. To take a campaign out of service from the dashboard, do one of these:

  • Set Live until to the time it should stop.
  • Archive it (below).
  • Disable the whole channel from the channel’s Settings tab.

A paused campaign shows Activate on its Overview tab to bring it back.

Archiving stops a campaign being playable and keeps its entries and winners.

  1. On the Overview tab, under Campaign lifecycle, choose Archive.
  2. Confirm with Archive.

To bring it back, choose Restore. The campaign returns as a draft, so you can edit it and activate it again.

Under Campaign lifecycle, choose Delete and confirm. This cannot be undone.

Deleting needs the Delete a campaign for good permission. See Roles.
